Advanced Oil Tanker Cargo Operations
About this course
This course provides specialist training for senior officers and any person with immediate responsibility for loading, discharging, care in transit or handling of bulk oil cargoes.
The course is also for tanker terminal and ship management personnel, who will build on previous experience and gain a detailed appreciation of the safety aspects involved in the handling and carriage of oil cargoes.
The course takes full account of Chapter V Regulation V/1-1, Chapter V Section A-V/1-1.2 and Table A-V/1-1-2 of the 2010 STCW Code and complies with the Merchant Navy Training Board (MNTB) requirements as satisfying part of the prerequisites for issue of a tanker endorsement.

Prerequisites
- After 9 June 2015
Full basic training in oil and chemical tanker cargo operations. Candidates must have the Tanker Fire Fighting certificate which meets the requirements set out in tables A-V/1-1-1 and A-V/1-2-1 of the STCW Convention and Code as amended and be in possession of the appropriate certificate.

Successful candidates will be awarded with approved STCW certificate.
Revalidation
5 years.
