Basic Safety Training (BST)

Basic Safety Training (BST) is a mandatory set of basic safety courses for individuals seeking employment in the maritime industry, offshore operations, merchant shipping, oil and gas platforms, and support vessels. BST is required under the STCW Convention (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers) established by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
